Jeremy Weinglass: Weddings & Events

I love playing piano at all kinds of events. I tend to get booked during the spring and summer months with lots of weddings whereas November and December I am very busy with holiday parties. I also play for large corporate events, birthday parties, anniversaries and even funerals. Whatever the occasion, I will add that extra special touch that will make it an event to remember.
- Weddings
Since weddings are probably where my services are requested the most frequently, I'll use this space to talk more specifically about that. However, much of this information can be applied to any event. For weddings, I am usually asked to play for the ceremony and/or cocktail hour. On occasion, I am asked to play during dinner as well. I can do any or all of the above. I can play solo piano or I can put together a beautiful trio with a violinist and cellist. I also have singers that I work with. If you have another musical combo in mind, let me know and I'll see what I can arrange. While a grand piano is always ideal, not all venues have one available. If this is the case, I have a very high quality keyboard (Roland RD-700GX) and sound system that I can bring.
When you hire me to play for your wedding, you can relax knowing that you have hired a professional with 20 years of experience. I have a vast array of repertoire to choose from and I can learn new songs quickly if necessary. My manager, Kim, and I will give your special day the kind of attention you deserve. Here is what you can expect when you work with us:
~Once a fee has been agreed upon, we will provide you with a formal contract that outlines all of the details of your event in writing.
~A half hour consultation either over the phone or in person to discuss ideas. The music sets the tone of the whole event, so it is a serious consideration. We will discuss your personalities, the venue, any themes and the type of guests attending. This is a collaborative process where we will listen to what you have in mind as well as provide suggestions based on our years of experience. I recommend taking a look at my repertoire lists at the bottom of this page to get the ideas flowing. Also, a large selection of my repertoire is available to listen to on the Listen to Music page.
~Do you have a particular song that is special for the two of you? If I don't already know it, I will learn it for the occasion.
~If applicable, we will go over cues for the bride's entrance and recessional.
~You can be assured that I will show up on time and will be dressed professionally. I usually wear a suit, but for black tie affairs, I have a black tuxedo I can wear instead. If you have a specific request such as "wear a red tie," I'm happy to accommodate - just let me know!
~If you are looking for something unique and original, I have some beautiful music I have written specifically for the bride's walk down the aisle and the recessional.
~Would you like something extra special created just for you? With enough advance notice and for an additional fee, I can write an original piece of music for your event!
Every event has it's own set of unique circumstances, so please contact my manager, Kim at 310-391-5497 for a quote. You can also send us an email using the contact form on this site. Please be sure to include the date, time and location of your event and we will get back to you promptly.
